ich habe mir mal das Ubuntu parallel zu Windows auf eine neue Partition installiert :)

So alles klappte super nur das ich leider nicht ins Internet komme. Wir haben einen Speedport W700V und normalerweise ein DFÜ Netzwerk. Also ich brauche keine Programme installieren. Internet ist immer da.

Ich dachte es könnte sein, das meine Realtek Gigabitlankarte nicht erkannt ist. Also habe ich mir mal den Treiber auf der Hersteller-Seite besorgt. Da sind zwar ein paar Dateien drin, aber wenn ich die öffne sehe ich nur Codefragmente. Stelle ich unter Eigenschaften Ausführen ein, startet das Programm aber ist sofort wieder geschlossen... WAS NUN

schau mal unter
System -> Administration -> Netzwerk
da sollte dir deine Karte nomralerweise angezeigt wenn er sie kennt.

Wenn nicht musst du den Treiber zuerst mal compilieren bevor du ihn benutzen kannst.
Ist garnicht mal so schwer. In dem Archiev sollte eine README liegen da ist meistens eine Anleitung drin.
Wahrscheinlich wirst du nur folgendes machen müssen:
(Ich hoffe du kommst mit nem Terminal klar?)

# make
# sudo make install
Das musst du in dem Verzeichnis ausführen in dem eine Datei namens "Makfile" liegt.
Aber schau lieber vorher nochmal nach was die README sagt.

Danach sollte er irgendwo eine treibername.ko Datei erzeugt haben wenn es geklapt hat. Das ist nun dein Treibermodul das du laden kannst.

Am besten du postest mal die Ausgabe von ifconfig
Anwendung -> Zuberhör -> Terminal

aber ich habe stolz eine Readme Datei gefunden, woraus ich aber auch nit schlau werde, aber du vielleicht :

<Linux device driver for Realtek Ethernet controllers>

This is the Linux device driver released for RealTek RTL8169S/8110S, RTL8169SB/8110SB, and RTL8110SC.

<Requirements>

- kernel source tree (supported Linux kernel 2.6.x/2.4.20 and latter)
- compiler/binutils for kernel compilation

<Quick install with proper kernel settings>
Check whether the built-in driver, r8169.ko(or r8169.o for linux kernel 2.4.x), is installed.
# lsmod | grep r8169

If it is installed, please remove it.
# rmmod r8169
note: If the built-in driver cannot removed by rmmod, please edit /etc/modprobe.conf and comment 'alias eth0 r8169'. Then, remove it again or reboot your computer.

Unpack the tarball :
# tar vjxf r8169-6.aaa.bb.tar.bz2

Change to the directory:
# cd r8169-6.aaa.bb

If you are running the target kernel, then you should be able to do :

# make clean modules (as root or with sudo)
# make install
# depmod -a
# insmod ./src/r8169.ko (or r8169.o for linux kernel 2.4.x)

You can check whether the driver is loaded by using following commands.

# lsmod | grep r8169
# ifconfig -a

If there is a device name, ethX, shown on the monitor, the linux
driver is loaded. Then, you can use the following command to activate
the ethX.

# ifconfig ethX up

, where X=0,1,2,...

Bevor Du anfägst irgendwas zu kompilieren, was gerade für den Anfänger eine recht hohe Hürde ist, poste mal bitte die Ausgaben von:

ifconfig -a

Du hast ja geschrieben, dass Du per "DFÜ-Netzwerk" mit dem Router verbindest, heißt das, dass Du Dich jedesmal manuell einwählst oder wählt sich der Router ins Netz?
 
Im Endeffekt wird es wohl daran liegen, dass der Router (wohl eher ein Modem?) vom PC initiiert werden muss ins Internet einzuwählen und der Lan-Adapter funktioniert (offensichtlich ein Controller der Firma Realtek), da der Treiber im Kernel als Modul enthalten ist. Insofern wäre die Ausgabe von lspci und lsmod wirklich interessant. Sollte es sich wie besagt um ein Modem handelt erfolgt der Verbindungsaufbau via PPPoE und du findest hier eine Anleitung dazu:

Aber folgendes: Es ist kein Modem, sondern ein Router. Ich kann ohne Passwort oder Benutzername immer ins Internet wann ich will. Glaube das ist dieses DFÜ. Mein Rounter unterstützt auch dieses DHCP, aber irgendwie bekomme ich auch keine IP adresse zugewiesen....

Öffne einfach mal ein Terminal
Anwendungen -> Zubehör -> Terminal

Und dort tippst du folgende Befehle ein

lspci
lsmod
ifconfig -a
Zum Vergrößern anklicken....
Eine Zeile ist ein Befehl. Einfach nur eintippen und dann Enter.
Dann die nächste Zeile. Und die Ausgaben von allen Programmen
posten. Zusätzlich kannst du auch noch mal schauen was passiert
wenn du

aufrufst. Normalerweise sollte dir dabei eine IP-Adresse zugewiesen werden
wenn alles klappt. Die Ausgabe am besten auch posten.

Hi,
also deine Netzwerkkarte wurde auf jeden Fall gefunden und
der Linuxtreiber wurde auch geladen, aber wie du schon sagtest
du bekommst keine IP-Adresse zugewiesen.

Ist der DHCP Server in deinem Router auch aktiviert?
