Hallo zusammen

Ich möchte auf meinem alten Rechner (Intel Core 2, 2GB RAM, NVidia GeForce 7300 GS) Ubuntu 14.04.1 (32-bit) installieren.
Allerdings kommt beim laden des Installationsassistenten ein Bildschirm, welcher aussieht, als ob die Grafikkarte defekt wäre (siehe Anhang). Der Ladebildschirm mit dem Ubuntuschriftzug und den Ladepunkten wird richtig dargestellt, danach kommt dieser Bildschirm.

Ubuntu schon mal auf diesem Rechner, ist allerdings schon länger her.

Was könnte der Fehler sein und wie kann ich das zum laufen bringen?

Also mit einer älteren Ubuntu Version (Ubuntu 12.04.4 LTS) funktioniert alles einwandfrei. Nach einem Update auf die Version 14.04 LTS tritt der Fehler wieder auf.
Wird wohl ein Grafiktreiber sein, welcher bei den neuen Versionen gekippt wurde.

Hi,

was liefert denn "dmidecode" und "lspci" mit der laufenden Ubuntu Version? Bzw. welche Grafikkarte ist verbaut?

Ich hab nun mal den Proprietäre Grafiktreiber (304) installiert und nochmals ein Update gewagt.
Nun kann ich mich anmelden. Allerdings spinnt dann die Anzeige, sprich es wird zwar alles Dargestellt (sehr langsam), jedoch reagiert das System nicht auf eine Eingabe. Ich kann kein Icon auswählen oder den "Gummi" mit der Maus ziehen. Die Maus kann ich jedoch problemlos bewegen.

Ja ich hab das nun auch probiert. Ändert jedoch nichts.
Nach dem Anmelden kommt immer die Meldung, dass ein problem mit einer Systemanwendung detetkiert wurde.
Jedoch stehen nich mehr Informationen....

Wenn ich bei der Anmeldung "GNOME Flashback (Metacity)" wähle, läuft alles tiptop flüssig, nicht aber bei "Ubuntu (Standard)" oder "GNOME Flashback (Compiz)".
