✔ Darstellungsproblem IE und Mozilla Firefox

Grünschnabel
Hallo,

habe eine Seite, bei der die Darstellung im Firefox leider nicht korrekt funktioniert. Beim IE klappt alles. Ich vermute, es ist ein CSS-Problem, aber leider konnte ich den Fehler bis heute nicht beheben.

Könnt Ihr mir hier evtl. weiterhelfen?

Hi,

vermutlich liegt es an der fixen Höhenangabe für das DIV .spacer, dass die Navigation über den Rand hinausläuft:

Der IE behandelt sie als "Mindesthöhe" und erweitert bei zunehmenden Inhalt die Boxhöhe, Firefox (und alle anderen modernen Browser) hingegen nicht.

Versuch es daher mal mit dieser Regel, um für die nicht-IE-Browser eine Mindesthöhe einzurichten:

Jetzt hab ich nur noch ein kleines Problem mit der Menüzeile. Ich habe hier im CSS "menu" die absolute Position 195 angegeben.

Beim IE passts, beim Firefox müsste ich 210 angeben, damit es passt; dann stimmts aber beim IE wieder nicht mehr.

Was könnte da noch falsch sein?

Entferne mal die rotmarkierten HTML-Kommentare vor der Dokumenttyp-Deklaration, denn sie setzen den IE in den Quirksmode, weshalb er da etwas falsch interpretiert

Da wär ich nie draufgekommen, dass diese Doctypes 1. so viel Einfluss haben und 2. dann auch noch im Kommentarmodus Ich glaube, mit den Doctypes muß ich micht auch nochmal näher auseinandersetzen!
